It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil in this benign land, but the Buddhist memorial in Choeung Ek commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-1979 Pol Pot regime.
This excursion may worry some. However, it is an important piece of the country's historical and cultural puzzle.
