Located in the Northwest of Cambodia, Siem Reap is best known for being home to the incredible Angkor Wat, a vast complex of ancient temple ruins that have been listed as a World Heritage Site. While Angkor is undoubtedly one of the most amazing historical sites in the world, the province of Siem Reap is also home to a host of other ruins, such as Beng Mealea and Banteay Sre, which you'll also discover on your trip. this visit.

08:00    In the morning, visit the most famous of the temples on the Angkor Plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers an area of 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its five distinctive towers are emblazoned with the Cambodian flag, and the 12th-century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be a prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. The five towers of Angkor Wart represent the five peaks of Meru - the enclosing wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond.
